When it comes to fading makeup, we've all been there at some point as the foundations and concealers seem to slide right off your face halfway through the day.
With these few tips, you can make your makeup remain wonderful and radiant all through the day.

1. Exfoliate

The first step to beautiful skin is always a good skincare routine. Oil, bacteria and dead skin cells stack up on the surface level of skin, which leads to texture that shows through when makeup is applied. Exfoliate your skin at least two times a week to keep skin smooth so that your makeup lasts longer.

2. Use A Face Primer

Primers are essential for helping your makeup last all day. Not only do protect your skin, but they also create a barrier that smoothens the surface of your skin for prolonged makeup use.
They can be tailored to skin type to help fill in pores, fine lines and create a smooth surface for your foundation to go on smoother and last longer. Try to get an oil-free, water-based primer; this will help your foundation from slipping or moving around.

3. Use An Oil-Free Foundation

Oil based products make it more likely that makeup will slide out of place. If you have dryer skin types, make sure you moisturize very well before using an oil-free foundation.

4. Use Waterproof Products

If you wonder how to make your makeup last all day and you want to look flawless from the early morning until the evening, then investing in good quality product can be worth the extra money, especially when buying mascara and eyeliner. If you want your mascara to last the whole day, hold the curls and be smudge-free, then definitely go for a waterproof option.

5. Go Lighter

If you think that the more makeup you use, the longer it will last, you could be making a big mistake. The simple old rule “less is more” applies to long lasting makeup application. Go easy on the amount of foundation or powder you use. Light application will also give a fine output if you apply well. Oily skins begin to appear baked after a long while of applying too much of makeup.

6. Use Setting Spray

Makeup setting sprays are specifically designed to prevent makeup meltdown so you hardly have to touch it up during the day, a mist of this should be your last step before leaving the house. Setting sprays are a makeup artist’s favorite finishing touch especially for a client that has an all day event. It not only can refresh your makeup but it also seals your makeup for a very natural look that lasts all day. Find the perfect one for you with our review of the best makeup setting sprays below.
and finally…

7. Stop Touching Your Face!

That soils and smears your makeup. Apart from soiling your makeup, touching your face transfers germs from your hands onto it.
